IBM Exponentially You
Virtual Reality Experience for Oculus Rift
What if stepping into a high-tech suit of armor could transform the way you solve business challenges? "Exponentially You" is a 15-minute VR-powered experience developed for IBM’s Global Technical and Business Services (GBS and GTS). Built for Oculus Rift, this immersive activation allowed participants to customize their own mech suit, then engage in a series of interactive challenges, gamified analogies for real-world business solutions powered by IBM technologies.

Developed under the creative guidance of Leslie Edgerton and in collaboration with George P. Johnson’s London office, this VR experience combined game mechanics, immersive storytelling, and enterprise technology visualization to create a dynamic, interactive engagement. The experience began with a "suit-up" sequence, inspired by customization interfaces in games like MechWarrior and Armored Core. Users configured their mech suit, choosing enhancements and optimizations that aligned with IBM’s suite of business solutions. Once deployed into the virtual environment, participants engaged in real-time, interactive mini-games, each one serving as a gamified metaphor for modern business challenges, demonstrating how IBM's GTS and GBS products help companies navigate complex problems. As Director of Digital Engagement, my role was to: Bridge the gap between technical and creative teams, ensuring a seamless interaction design process, oversee the product roadmap, from initial concept through final execution, and curate/manage creative talent, acquiring the right specialists to bring this experience to life.
"Exponentially You" transformed enterprise storytelling into an immersive, hands-on experience. By blending virtual reality, interactive game mechanics, and IBM’s advanced business solutions, we created an activation that allowed users to step into the role of a problem-solver, customizing, strategizing, and engaging in challenges that mirrored real-world innovation. The result was a visually striking, deeply engaging experience that made complex business solutions feel tangible, interactive, and future-forward.
